Two NGOs, Servir le Père and Aurore, have joined forces to organize a vacation center for children aged 5 to 16 at the Cité public school, located behind the state high school in Port-Gentil. The objective is to keep these children busy for three weeks with civics, reading, slam, dance, crafts and customization workshops.

"The Centre aéré is an opportunity for children on vacation to come and spend the day. They come in the morning and leave at the end of the day. During this time, there are activities in which they can take part," said Valerie ORIGO of the NGO Servir Le Père.

During the closing ceremony of this edition, the 2nd of its kind, parents and guests discovered, through an exhibition and artistic performances, the talents of the children revealed by the activities carried out.

"You can see that our children have a real talent. With the Dream instructor, they discovered that their hands could make useful things and it was a joy", rejoiced Annie DOWE, Educator of the Day Care Center.

Appointment has been made for next year for the 3rd edition.
