Hello Mr. Marius, could you please introduce yourself and tell us about your Association (missions, objectives, challenges, etc.)

First of all, I would like to thank you for your interest in our platform. The Sports Association Le Relais is an omnisport structure doing Football, Basketball, Athletics, Urban Dance, and soon Gymnastics. We are legally constituted, and have our final receipt delivered by the Ministry of the Interior.

Our main mission is the personal development of children through sports, by subjecting them to several exercises through which we transmit fundamental values to them as for the education that any parent would like to give to his child.

The challenges we are pursuing are multiple. First, to restore the image of the sportsman through irreproachable human behavior. Secondly, to militate for the healthy occupation of children outside of school hours. Also, we aim in the long term to help our boarders to go towards professionalism, this, through a very long process (detection, initiative and training).

How long has the Association Sportive Le Relais existed? What is the history of its creation?

(date and motivations of creation) Our Association exists since January 2014. What motivated its creation is my desire to hand over to the new generation, in the learning of Basketball,

on the one hand. On the other hand, my desire to supervise young talents, and give them an opportunity to evolve in a structured framework of sports and human training. Finally, the worrying rise of the phenomenon of violence in schools with the use of drugs and delinquent behavior of young people, were the causes of my motivation to provide a healthy extracurricular environment for children.

What are the activities of your association, the beneficiaries and the frequency of actions (activities, target, period)

The activities of our Association are for the moment: Football, Basketball, Athletics and Urban Dance. The main beneficiaries are young people of both sexes whose age varies from 6 to 30 years. For we have a training center for Football and Basketball taking children from 6 years old, and we also have senior teams in all our activity sections.

As for the frequency of our movements, the principle is not to take vacations, because those who sell drugs to children do not go on vacation. Knowing that one of our missions is to keep young people busy in a healthy way, we remain constant in our activities, especially in our training centers. Only the senior teams often take a two-month break between August and September.

Among the activities you offer, which one are you the most proud of and tell us why?

We are proud of everything we do as an activity program. It is with the same enthusiasm and joy that we go up to the playground every day to occupy our youngsters. However, it must be said that where we put a little more rigor and attention is in our training centers. For it is in the youth that the future lies. We therefore have a sporting and moral obligation to follow them with the utmost seriousness, because if the basis is flawed (sporting fundamentals and human behavior), the young person will never be a good sportsman, and can never be a model in society. (date, place) Our last action on Basketball is a tournament dedicated to women, which we called "Equality". We played it over two weekends: Saturdays, July 16 and 23, 2022. It is an initiative that allows us to show our girls that they have a place of choice and a significant impact as women in Gabonese society.

What is your current activity?

Our current activity is the ongoing development of a women's soccer tournament that we started almost a month ago. It is played at Belle vue 2 in the Assélé market. The final was held on Sunday, July 31, 2022. This is a project that ties in with the Women's Basketball Tournament initiative.

What are the key figures of your achievements so far? (results, impacts, etc.)

The key figures of our achievements are difficult to quantify. During our first two seasons, especially in Basketball, because the other disciplines were added a few years ago, we were among the best cadet teams in the Estuary, with young people at the time like Auge Henri and Kinny Bouanga, currently students, respectively in Senegal and the USA. The arrival of the Covid19 and the scabrous management of the basketball before it, have slowed down our impulses on this side. Thus, with all the current members of our Association, which are almost two hundred (200), and the diversity of our activities, we are working to have a better structuring, because the ambitions that we nourish in the very short term are serious.

Now, let's talk a little about the people who make the association live: how many of them are there? What are their tasks?

Our Association lives on a daily basis thanks to volunteer coaches who, like myself, give their time to the Gabonese youth by sharing their knowledge. At the level of basketball we have the former player Ango Aline, she is the General Manager of the section. Then there are technicians such as Mougnala Sely Fred and Coach Obame Khalid. In soccer, the technical direction is led by Mbazoghe Nancy, she is the head coach of our women's team in the first division. She is assisted by Zogo Soumano Yvon, Obiang Soumano Yves, Tchimpoutou André and Nze Arnaud.

For the Training Center and the men's team, we have coaches Grazziela Bhongo and Nzambe. The Urban Dance and Athletics are respectively directed by Amoughe Loïck and Godelet Rodelphe. Finally, at the level of administration, I am supported on a daily basis by Okwa Loic, Azeme Wilfried, JP and Mouity Yess the doctor of the platform. Finally, if there was only one thing to remember about your association, what would it be?

The only thing to remember about our Association is that we are the future of national sport (especially in the disciplines we practice), because we are the
