Every year on June 16, the international community celebrates the Day of the African Child. In Port-Gentil, Civil Society Organizations did not remain on the sidelines of this celebration. To this effect, they invested the CSO focal point with various animations related to the theme chosen for this edition. Which, is "the elimination of harmful practices affecting children: progress on policies and practices since 2013".

"Since 2015, many countries have put in place legislation to abolish forced marriages, including child marriages. But despite this, there is a lack of enforcement of the laws. It was also an opportunity for Fidèle AFANOU, coordinator of the CSOs of Port-Gentil to announce the official launch of the activities of the social television MANIBUS TV, in the absence of its promoter Chakir Omer PARAISO President of the association MANIBUS empéché.

"The promoter of this project who is, the head of MANIBUS is called Omer PARAISO who is a son of Port-Gentil, is also General Coordinator of ESPEG. It is an honor for us to launch this TV here.
